A genuine 1943 (San Francisco Mint) Lincoln Wheat Steel Cent Penny in Almost Uncirculated AU Condition. In 1943, the U.S. Mint struck Lincoln cents in zinc-coated steel to save copper for munitions and other military materials in World War II. Each unique one-year-only issue bears Victor D. Brenner’s Lincoln portrait obverse and Wheat Ears reverse designs.
